Bay Cove Human Services, is a Boston-based nonprofit network that provides “individualized and compassionate services for people facing the challenges associated with developmental disabilities, mental illness, homelessness, aging-related needs and/or drug and alcohol addiction”. It is one of the most extensive networks of drug and alcohol rehabs in Boston.
The network began in 1974 as a single medical detox facility — Andrew House. Today, Bay Cove Human Services has over 170 programs all over Massachusetts and employs more than 2,000 healthcare and human service professionals.
Bay Cove offers a complete continuum of care for substance use disorders of all types. The nonprofit has programs all over Massachusetts addressing all stages of drug treatment and rehabilitation from withdrawal management to aftercare programs.
The network largely uses evidence-based treatments for substance use disorder. Recovering individuals are evaluated by Bay Cove’s qualified treatment specialists and are given recommendations on the programs to enter.
Bay Cove’s services include standard approaches such as withdrawal management, medical detox, cognitive behavioral therapy, and counseling. They also have a selection of residential, outpatient, and transitional programs for recovering individuals.
Bay Cove Human Services strives to make treatment accessible so that people of all incomes can enter virtually any program they need. If you or a loved one has already completed a rehab program, Bay Cove has access to a wide selection of aftercare resources as well. For more information, visit www.baycove.org.
