The Women’s Renewal Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) at the Dimock Center is a treatment facility for drug and alcohol addiction located on the Dimock campus in Roxbury, Massachusetts. They have served the community for more than 120 years. As one of the only treatment programs specifically for women in Greater Boston, Women’s Renewal in Roxbury, MA offers specialized and comprehensive care for women with substance use disorder, mental health conditions, and trauma. It offers structure to their daily lives and support systems to help them find hope for a better future.
Women’s Renewal is financed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Abuse Services and third-party insurance (Neighborhood Health Plan, Beacon Health, and Network Health). Because of this funding, The Dimock Center is able to provide low-cost addiction treatment to women who need it.
Founded on July 1, 1862, the Dimock Center was the first hospital in New England opened and run by women. Once known as the New England Hospital for Women and Children, it was only the second in the nation to offer rehabilitation services for women.
